Origins in 2004

This one was written in a Professional Engineering lecture. I remember, because there was a 'guest' speaker from 'the industry' trying to tell us how well paid engineers are...I was dubious, and got bored. It's an exaggerated view of education I admit, but it does hold some truth.

Sitting here in this lecture
Watching the lights bounce through the projector
They call this an education hah
I'll probably end up like
One of those parking inspectors
Or maybe manning one of those
Airport metal detectors

Become just another
Employment prospector
Spend all my day
Searching the West Australian
Competing for unskilled jobs

Driving to the inverviews
I bet the boss is mean
My pores producing saline
I hope he likes my shoes

There must be more to life than this
Remaining to be seen!
